PAWS to READ

Children between the ages of 5 and 8 who would like to work on their reading skills are invited to participate in PAWS to READ. Young readers are paired with registered therapy dogs in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere where dogs listen and don’t tease, laugh, or judge. Contact Shoreview to register for your 20 minute time slot.

This ain't yo mama's book club! There is no
pre-assigned reading for this club, the participants will get together and write stories based on images presented to them.

This book club helps participants increase their writing, visual literacy and social skills. Think of graphic novels and Mad Libs all smushed together!

Family Film Night

Former MN State Amateur Chess Champion Charles "Chuck" Shaw will be teaching kids the basics of playing chess. The first part of the class will be instruction, followed by time for actual play. No sign-up required, may attend any or all sessions!

Ready to Build: A Library LEGO® Contest
Friday, August 12

10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Drop off entries
1 - 2 p.m.: Public votes on creations
3 p.m.: Winners announced
Ramsey County Library is hosting a construction competition for kids ages 3 to 14. Simply build at home and bring your creation to the library in Roseville for a chance to win a prize. Prizes will be awarded by age. One entry per person, please. Participants may use all types of LEGOS® or any other brand of interlocking brick construction toys.
