The popular local food Web site, Simple, Good and Tasty (www.simplegoodandtasty.com) , is teaming up with Ramsey County Library to engage, inform and empower the residents of Ramsey County on the issue of good, local, whole foods. Come to one event, or the whole series, to learn about why local food is important to your health and your community.

Jenny Breen, co-owner of Good Life Catering and longtime chef and nutrition educator, will provide easy, accessible strategies for how to turn good food into great meals.

Gardens of Eagan (an organic farm owned by the Wedge Community Co-op) and its nonprofit educational partner, the Organic Field School, will host a farm tour. See the workings of an organic farm and ask questions about agriculture, and food production and distribution.

These programs are funded with money from the vote of Minnesota residents on November 4, 2008, which dedicated funding to preserve our state's art and cultural heritage.
