When people think about staying fit, they generally think from the neck down. But the health of your brain plays a critical role in almost everything you do: thinking, feeling, remembering, working, playing - even sleeping.

The good news is that we now know there's a lot you can do to help keep your brain healthier as you age. Brain Fitness Stations are located in Ramsey County libraries to support the four pillars of brain health - mental stimulation, physical activity, nutrition and stress reduction.

Find out what you can do to keep your brain healthy and help reduce the risk of getting Alzheimer's disease. Attend this workshop to learn more about:

  • The Brain: How it works and changes with age

  • The Body: How the heart and brain are connected

  • The Person: How social connections and emotional health affect your brain.

  • The Brain Fitness Project is supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in Minnesota by State Library Services & School Technology.
